Club Records
Our Club Records show the three fastest club members, by gender, distance and age category. The only caveat is that times must be recorded in official races. At any one time there may be more than 50 different club members on the record sheet! While we have made every effort to make them accurate, there might be errors or omissions. If you notice anything, please let head coach James Wilson or member Gary Lowe know. The Club Records are on display and can be viewed in the club house.
Club Standards
The Saxons club standards is a target and reward system the purpose of which is to encourage all runners to set goals, compete in more races, enjoy running and racing and for everyone to achieve – whether you’re aiming for a tungsten or a diamond!
There are a set of 7 target times which are based on your age grade percentages (for example like parkrun, where 100% is the world record for your age) the distances are parkrun, 5km, 5 miles, 10km, 10 miles, half marathon and marathon. View the Club Standards.
The target times are set as Levels, Level 1 is the easiest and Level 7 the hardest, and these are called:
- Level 1 tungsten (40% age grade)
- Level 2 bronze (50%)
- Level 3 silver (55%)
- Level 4 gold (60%)
- Level 5 sapphire (65%)
- Level 6 platinum (70%)
- Level 7 diamond (75%)
For each gender and age group there are a set of different times for you to achieve and you’ll get a round of applause and a certificate at the end of Tuesday’s club session!
